Guided Drawings

Young students always do guided drawings. Students are given step-by-step instructions to draw the same object.

We have done guided drawings with older students previous years. It often depends on the item being drawing and the group of students if they enjoy it or not.

Young students feel successful that what they draw looks like the object but older students often don't feel they are being creative because they are being told what to do. Older students also feel more competitive and compare their work to each other.
